Rejected from 33 jobs, he started the world’s biggest company!. Jack Ma was born into a poor family in China, during the rise of communism. He grew up with little contact with the Western World. He was a scrawny kid but wasn’t afraid of standing up to bullies. He always got into fights with bigger kids that picked on him. Jack got terrible grades in school and failed every exam. The odds were never in his favor, but Jack was determined to get an education. When his hometown began attracting tourists, Jack wanted to make the most out of the opportunity. For the next 9 years, he offered free guided tours to foreigners in exchange for English Lessons.

After high school, Jack applied to go to college but failed the entrance exam twice. Not one to give up so fast, he studied for months and finally passed on the third try.
